At Carrie’l, we strive to create a unified and cooperative environment. Carrie’s passion for hair has driven her to build her salon around what she views as the perfect experience for her clients. Carrie has spent much of her career acquiring the knowledge and experiences necessary to ensure her salon and spa are on top of all the latest trends. Carrie often travels the globe to acquire the latest in the salon and spa worlds, including the newest products, styles, techniques and procedures. At the heart of Carrie’s passion will always be her love of hair styling. Although Carrie stays busy continually evolving her business to suit the needs of today’s clients, she can’t help but go back to her roots to serve her loyal clients that have been seeing her for her ‘hair therapy’ for over 30 years.

Graduating in 2007 she jumped on board as part of the Carrie’l Salon and Spa Hair Team. For the last 10 years she has taken numerous Classes with some of the leading edge educators such as Vidal Sassoon Academy, Allion, 4 time British hair dresser of the year Angelo Seminara, Joseph Dimaggio, David Glover Who has styled for (Victoria Secret), Christiano Cora and many many more. “Taking education is such a key part in our careers if we stop educating ourselves we mine as well put down our shears”. Jami has been all over the world participating in hair shows and classes. She also helps lead Davines Session team here in Edmonton which has been so fortunate to be part of Western Canada Fashion week and do some of the editorial work for Phabrik Magazine. She loves being creative and doing editorial hair but the most important part of her career is making people feel their absolute best. “I hope I am able to do this for the rest of my life because there is no better feeling then to see others smile”.
Sinead’s journey in hair design began over a decade ago with her graduating from Est-Elle Academy of Hair Design. Since then, she’s pursued continuous education, delving into the Surface Training Course and attending cut and color classes led by industry leaders like Eduardo Paludo and Brian Suhr. She showcased her creativity at Western Canadian Fashion Week, both as a student and as part of the Davines artistic team. Sinead is not only skilled in hairstyling but also certified in makeup artistry, contributing her talents to projects like Blu’s “Girl Boss” campaign. Her commitment to excellence led her to the Vidal Sassoon haircutting class in Toronto, where she refined her techniques. With unwavering dedication, Sinead continues to inspire in the world of hair and beauty.
Amanda graduated from Estelle Academy of Hair Design in 2014, and since then has been educated by internationally award winning stylists including Eduardo Paludo, Brian Suhr, and Wayne Grunde. Just one year after graduation, Amanda was awarded her own hair show at the Western Canadian Fashion Week that was held in Edmonton in 2015, and since then has continued to excel as a hairstylist at Carrie’l. At Carrie’l Salon and Spa Amanda has participated in City TV segments showing off her impressive up-do and hair coloring skills to all of Edmonton. Amanda has traveled to Los Angeles to attend the Davines World Wide Hair Tour where she learned of the newest and upcoming trends in the industry. Amanda enjoys working with blond hair, and loves creating up-dos with long hair where you are sure to see some of her impressive braiding skills.
Mark graduated from MC College in 1995. Ever since then he’s found a passion and purpose in the industry. He loves the way he is able to change how a person looks and feels about themselves. Always looking at the bigger picture on how he can create beautiful hair for his clients. Mark is always up to furthering his education, he has worked with Aveda, TIGI and Eufora to name a few. He always wants to inspire his clients by keeping up to date with the latest trends and is always learning new and exciting techniques.

Abigail graduated from Est-Elle Academy of Hair design in August of 2023. She trained with Wayne Grunde in his “Cutting Core Class” She has always been passionate about doing hair, she would frequently style her friends hair for special occasions. Abigail is eager to perfect her skills with furthering her education. We are thrilled to have her apprentice at Carrie’l.
Since a young age Shanyn has had a passion for beauty, and jumped into cosmetology as soon as it was offered in high school. After graduating high school, Shanyn registered at Marvel College, where she participated in their 5-month esthetic program. Immediately after college Shanyn got to practice in the real world starting off at ‘Swizzlesticks’ where she spent 4 years practicing esthetics and learning the ropes of management. 2006 brought Shanyn to Carrie’l where she expanded her knowledge on our skin care products Dermed, ComfortZone, and Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup. Over the years Shanyn has participated in numerous courses achieving certificates in levels 1, 2, 3 of Dermed chemical peels as well as training in laser hair removal, skin tightening, rejuvenation and sublative. Shanyn has conquered the art of the brow and can have a Brazilian wax done in 5 minutes, a true expert. With almost 15 years of experience as an esthetician, Shanyn is still passionate about her craft and loves building relationships with her clients.
Aman went to Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario and received her 2 year diploma in Esthetics in September of 2011 . After graduating she got a job opportunity as an Esthetician in Fort St. John to gain further experience and utilize her skills. Aman was there for 7 years and recently decided to move to bigger city… Edmonton. She has 9 years experience in the industry. Aman loves helping people and getting to know them. She takes pride in helping people feel good, confident and look great! Aman loves providing threading, waxing , pedicures and facials.

Originally from the East Coast, Nancy graduated from her Halifax-based Esthetic course in 2007 at the top of her class and started to work immediately. She continued her education as often as courses were offered, focusing on clinical skin care & her passion for offering results-focused treatments. In 2012 she moved to Edmonton and started at Carrie’l Salon and Spa, dedicating the next 2.5 years to caring for her clients needs – pedicures to brows and everything in between. While she took some time to explore other industries & grow her family, her passion for skincare & waxing that perfect brow never wavered. She offers a range of skin treatments including Microdermabrasion, Dermplaning and peels along with body treatments and waxing. She’s dedicated to helping you feel your best!
Maria came to Canada from Romania in 2006 to begin her career in esthetics. Throughout her career she has benefited from on going education to perfect her skills. Maria enjoys all aspects of her trade but enjoys performing Facials, Pedicures and Microdermabrasion.
Katherine enrolled in the European Institute of Esthetics straight out of high school and graduated the 2 year advanced esthetic program with honours. She has been an esthetician for 4 years and provides many luxury beauty services including advanced facials, full body waxing, threading, makeup application, eyelash extensions, eyelash lifts/tint, eyebrow lamination/tint, pedicures, manicures, laser hair removal and much more! Katherine takes pride in keeping her work area clean and organized as well as making clients feel comfortable and welcomed!

Swapna welcomes everyone to experience the beauty of wellness in accordance with mind, body and soul. She combines her therapeutic and holistic knowledge to design customized sessions for each individual.
She is a graduate from Alberta College of Massage Therapy. She has completed her training of clinical skincare from Esthetics Plus and her Reiki Master Teacher, Violet Flame Reiki Master, Energy Medicine Practitioner, Crystal Therapist, Chakra Therapist, Spiritual Aromatherapy training is completed from Sacred Wellness School of Healing Arts.
Her areas of expertise are: Relaxation and Therapeutic Massage along with Myofascial Cupping, Jade Stone, and Clinical Facials. As well as Bowen Therapy, Facial Cupping, Gua Sha, Reiki and Energy Work.
She works with her guests to achieve and maintain their wellness goals. Peace, Harmony, Gratitude and Balance are the foundations of her approach for all sessions. She is looking forward to seeing you for a session soon!

Dr. Mrochuk provides botulinum toxin and dermal filler services to her patients. She brings over 17 years of clinical experience working as an Emergency Room physician at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and has dual certification in family medicine. She has been recognized with several awards for her clinical teaching, wellness and dedication to the field of medicine and is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Alberta. Dr. Mrochuk’s broad skill base affords her the unique ability to provide a wholistic clinical approach to her patients. She has obtained several certifications in the field of cosmetic and injectables and couples her personal dedication and interest in wellness and beauty with her professional background.
Yael is excited to be Joining the guest services team at carriel! Yael has been working in customer service for 5 years and is passionate about perfecting the guest experience. She is looking forward to building relationships with clients and can be counted on as a constant friendly face to check you in!
Lindsey has been in the salon and spa industry for nearly 10 years, specializing in learning about as many products and she can. She is happy to be a part of the Carrie’l team and can’t wait to meet you!
